DNS Issues

Hi Everyone

This morning my MR and MS that I have at home are reporting DNS misconfigurations, they are set to use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

Nothing has changed config-wise on these devices in months, randomly at the same time my MR, MS and MX all went offline at 00:18 however the MX is fine and not reporting any issues.

1. Rebooting both devices hasn't done anything.

2. Both devices IP are dynamically assigned

3. Have tried changing from Google DNS to umbrellar.

None of the above have helped.

If you set your PC to one of those DNS servers, can you lookup domains, particularly Meraki ones?

@cmr  Firmware upgrade fixed the MS so wired clients are now working.

Just working on MR, unit itself still reporting a DNS mismatch.

Is the MR all DHCP or do you have some static settings?

All DHCP, recycling switch port seems to have kick started it, no idea why suddenly Meraki doesn't like Google DNS or 1.1.1.1

Only DNS that works is Umbrellar.
