Hello,

 

I was busy and did not apply the new license to my network and then became locked - added the new licenses and still locked and dont think it is seeing the license

I have removed my devices and still no luck - i know i will to reconfigure my MX and wireless settings but at lease i know devices are not causing it.

The problem isn't the device license; you need one for the dashboard as well. You probably didn't purchase that license.

Yes, I did, but I’m not sure why it didn’t show up.

 

On Jul 7, 2025 – Aug 23, 2025, 01:31 PM, I renewed the Enterprise license for:

 

1 × MS120-8FP

1 × MS210-24

1 × MX68CW

1 × MR

 

Enterprise 3-year license (Move).

 

I received that license first, then added the other one, which appears to be active.

The license that you have applied is only for one MS120-8LP.  Make sure your networks only have that in, or better, apply a license for the other devices.  Did you receive one license or multiple ones for different devices?

Reverse the last renewal and then you should have most devices working.  You will need to delete the MS120-8LP that wasn't on it.

 

Once the rest are all back up, use the LP license by adding additional devices, not renewing.

Alternatively get the reseller to send you one license for all, that's what should have happened originally as if you only partially renew, it doesn't work, as you saw.

it was ordered later - multiple devices license was ordered over a month ago and 8 port switch was last week.

So, do it in this order:

 

Remove LP switch that was newer from any network, you can leave it in the inventory.

 

If you rolled back the application of the LP license then everything else should work.  If you haven't rolled back that change, then donsonand write down any codes shown.

 

Contact Meraki support to get LP key that you forgot to write down.

 

Apply LP key as ADD, not renew.

 

You should then see everything okay with a spare LP license.

 

Move LP switch from inventory back to network.

After removing the license for the single MS120, I tried to add it again but saw the above message. When I removed it earlier, I did see a pop-up asking me to copy the license key, but unfortunately, I didn’t copy it at the time.

This looks like the issue:

MR Enterprise 0 1

MS120-8FP 0 1

 

It says you don't have an MR or MAS120-8FP licence, but you have 1 x MR and 1 x MS120-8FP deployed.  Either remove the MR and MS120-8FP, or get an extra MR and MS120-8FP licence.
