Revert configuration changes to a previous day

I would like to know if it is possible, in case of making changes in the configuration by third parties, to be able to make a rollback of that configuration to a previously known good one. I have seen the change log where you can see who and what changed but not the configuration details such as a pre-shared Radius key on an SSID.

Hi @lanwifidtg , I’m afraid not.  You’ll only see in the log roughly what change was made and by whom.  There is no roll-back feature. This is only available for firmware upgrades.

Going forward I would maybe export critical config via API.

I'm not an employee of Cisco/Meraki. My posts are based on Meraki best practice and what has worked for me in the field.

disclaimer: I didn't create this or even try it, but it says it can create backups of your MX: https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/build/mx-firewall-control-python-script/ Not sure if it could restore, but it should at least let you did through a file and see specific changes you could potentially restore yourself.

Thanks to all of you, I will inquire via API what can be done, I have found this script to make MX backups, also an app for it.

https://github.com/meraki/automation-scripts/blob/master/mxfirewallcontrol.py   --> script MX backup
