Moving a Organization to another region ?

Is it possible to move a Organization to another region ?

I have some customers who have discovered that their Org. is created in a region that is actually not the closest to them.

Is it somehow possible to move the Org. to another region , config and all ?

Do anyone know ?

Thanks

Thomas

Hi @thomasthomsen . We currently do not have the ability to move an existing organization from one region to another. Keep in mind that the China (meraki.cn), Canada (meraki.ca), and India (meraki.in) regions are there for data sovereignty reasons and do not have the full feature set as the North and South America, Europe, and Asia regions in meraki.com. There are Meraki partners that you can reach out to for help in getting devices and network configuration moved to an organization in a different region via APIs. Boundless Digital and Devnetapps are cisco meraki partners offering such services.

This is not about regulatory domain of APs.

This is about where your dashboard / org is hosted.

When you at the very beginning set up your org. You select where in the world it should be hosted.

And you can see this if you fx. School down to the very bottom of any page of the dashboard and read the small print text.

See regions here  in the Data Center Location part.

Im guessing the same "Logic" applies if I want to move fx. switches from one network to another network within the same Org. its not possible to keep the config on these switches when they are moved.

Given that a Network is essentially a set of config, yes this is also true, pretty much by definition.
