Meraki co-term switch license level

Hello gang.

I find myself in a situation where the current org I'm managing has a bunch of MS120 switches with enterprise licenses. Since the announcement of the cat 9200L-M switches we have decided to standardise on catalysts switches going forward. With this we want to start utilising adaptive policy.

Is it possible to run the catalysts switches with advantage licensing even tho we have a bunch of MS120s in our network?

Yes, it's possible but, Catalyst 9200L-M switches support Adaptive Policy when managed via the Meraki Dashboard and licensed with Advanced licensing  however, MS120 switches do not support Adaptive Policy. This means they cannot participate in Security Group Tag  propagation or enforcement.

Perfect 👌 Yeah we will only run Adaptive Policy capable devices on networks we want to enable it on.

Yes.

The MS130, MS150, MS390, and C9300 require the same license tier (either Enterprise or Advanced) across the entire Organization, but they do not need to match the Enterprise MS license tier of the other switches that don’t support Advanced MS licensing
