Cisco Meraki Alerts

Hi all,

Can someone explain to me what the following alert means exactly.

Would this mean that there is a hardware failure at the switch port?

The alert only is only to advise that the port is down for the time indicated.  There's nothing done automatically to determine why it's down, only that it is down.

You would more commonly use the "tagged" option (in the drop-down).

You can then tag ports that are important to you (such as "servers"), and get an alert if any of these ports go down.

Hey @PhilipDAth

Do we know what the reason would be for the port being down? Hardware failure, computer going to sleep or shut down?

To the best of my knowledge, simple link detection.  Anything that causes the link to go down, for any reason.
