Cisco Insight & RingCentral

Please move this post if there is a better category to put in.

 

We've recently started piloting Insight.  One of the options is VoIP calling.  Our provider is RingCentral.  I've opened a ticket with them to see if I can get the server information if it's allowed to be monitored but the support rep seemed to not know anything about it.

 

Has anyone here who is a RingCentral customer tried to add it to Insight and if you did where did you find the information you needed to add it?

If you look at one of the phone's network traffic as it passes through the MX, maybe you can see what server they are communicating with?

I would follow @jbright 's advice.

 

I often do a packet capture of port udp/53 (DNS), power cycle the device, and then see what DNS names it tries to talk to.
