Latest Topics on Community Homepage

Searched the community, but didn't see anything on this.

What is query for the Latest Topics on the Homepage?  For example, I posted a response a couple of hours ago, but haven't see it show there.  But I see other topics with responses, so curious how's it working.  I was using it as a daily check-in for new posts, but guess I'm missing some go by.

Thanks, Keith

Kind of a big deal

When I go to this page it shows 'Latest Topics'

https://community.meraki.com/t5/Meraki-Community/ct-p/meraki

This link is also useful for 'Unanswered Topics'

yes, but that is just it - it doesn't always shop all the latest topics.  I'm trying to figure how what is being filtered.

Hi @kredmore and thanks for the great question! I think what you are looking for is the list of all new posts (topics and replies) across the community. Here it is: https://community.meraki.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/post-type/message

(it’s definitely not obvious how to get to that link; I’ll find a way to make it more accessible!)

yes, that link is helpful - thank you.  Still curious though what that "Latest Topics" is filtering?

Hm, there is no filtering on the home page topics (at least, there isn’t meant to be! Maybe it’s broken in some way?). It just only shows new topics, not replies.

thought of that, but looking at the topics right now, there are replies.  For example:

https://community.meraki.com/t5/Solutions-APIs/Need-API-Call-for-Switchport-Info/m-p/16926

or even this topic as an example...:)

I'm seeing both of these on the home page! Are you seeing something different from this (obviously it will change as time goes on, but here is what I'm seeing on the community home page (https://community.meraki.com/t5/Meraki-Community/ct-p/meraki) on Friday, April 13 at 9:42am Pacific:

Really curious to know if you see different topics there! You should be seeing the topics with the latest replies across the community.

Yes, I see both of those topics. But they have replies, and you said earlier that only new topics with no replies display. Or maybe you meant that was a problem.

Ah ha! Sorry for the confusion! I meant that individual replies don't show up in the home page list (whereas they do show up on the "Latest Posts" module on Product & Technology Discussions: https://community.meraki.com/t5/Product-Technology-Discussions/ct-p/enterprise )

To see all topics that aren't yet marked as "Solved", use this link (as @Adam suggested): https://community.meraki.com/t5/forums/unansweredtopicspage/node-id/category:50

There's no link to see just the topics that do not yet have any replies.

Hope that helps!

Thanks. I think I got it now.

Latest Topics on the homepage is just that - new topics started.

I guess I'm used to other forums where there is typically a way to show All Posts, sorted with newest first.  I have that now too...:)

Keith

@kredmore - Appreciate the input! I'll see what adjustments I can make in our platform to make the home page a bit more intuitive.

Have a great weekend.
