Community Platform Update: Threading

Hello Community!

In an effort to improve clarity on who replies are for in a given thread, we have just launched indented threading. This allows replies to be clearly displayed as in response to either the original post, a reply to the first reply, a reply to that reply, and so on up to 3 levels:

New indented repliesNew indented replies

Also, replies are now clearly marked to indicate to whom they are responding:

New text showing who the reply is forNew text showing who the reply is for

You'll see that this is both the structure for new threads and is also applied retroactively to existing threads. This means replies to replies in the past will now show the new information and indents rather than simply be listed all in one level below the original post as before.

If you have any questions or concerns about the new layout, please feel free to comment here or DM me!

Kind of a big deal

Aha, excellent and much needed enhancement. It did get confusing as to what some people were replying to.

If you wish to turn this feature off, you can do so by going to "My settings" > "Preferences" > "Display" and selecting "Linear format":

Here to help

Is the indentation a "space" or a "tab"?! Coders triggered... 🤣
