vMX now requiring edition to match org?

I know Advanced Security was recently added as an option for vMXs, but the dashboard is now saying the edition has to match the org. Has anyone seen any communication in that regard? I'm currently talking to a chat licensing agent and they are saying that's always been the case which is obviously wrong. They are also saying my existing vMX license now shows as advanced security on their side but it doesn't on mine. I can't imagine it was intended to work this way. I have the case escalated (12602954 if anyone from Meraki is bored during the shut down)

Yes that explicitly points out what I was saying:
"Note: Z-Series and vMX licenses can be added to organizations regardless of current MX license type. In general, Enterprise licensed customers cannot be in a mixed license environment. However, this does not apply to Z-Series devices or vMX (including the new Z-Series Secure Teleworker licenses)."

Im going to call into support and reference it.

Well scratch that, the tech just updated my case and converted my license to advanced security without decreasing the term.

Not going to dig further at this point, but we'll see when I do my next one in a few weeks.

Could be the same licensing bug that had to deal with on the Z4s. Might be worth calling licensing directly and explaining what is going on. If its the same as the Z4 issue, the org wont let you add a lower licensed product even though it should. They can do it manually, and as far as I know is the only way to get it working (with the Z4s) at this time. I was told they are working on a fix for the dashboard, but no ETA

I was actually unaware of that issue. Had a Z4 come in and just had to convert it to advanced security. Only affected a few days in the customers overall license given the org size so not a big deal, but good to know. We don't sell a lot of them and I thought I had missed something with the Z4s.

I would push to get 1:1 for time. This is 100% on Meraki, not you, so in co-term you should not take a hit at all. Licensing team will regen the license for 1:1 (or should) so you don't lose anything from it.

I am in PDL so they didnt have a choice to but give me the full time, but I dont see why they wouldn't in co-term either.
