Hi. Could I check some MX device routing logic please? If an MX in Routed mode, with a WAN1 uplink configured with a public IP address and a gateway as normal, is it possible to configure a 0.0.0.0/0 Static Route on Configure > Addressing & VLANs page to redirect any client traffic to a different gateway, will the MX still send it's own connection traffic to dashboard directly out via the WAN1 uplink? I also presume a non-Meraki S2S VPN tunnel will continue to work as the routing entry for the tunnel's remote subnets will be more specific? Thanks.

No we don't want to use Full Tunnel mode, but documentation says you have to use Full Tunnel mode on a vMX in Azure if you also want to use Routed mode (because the vMX won't advertise subnets). Routed mode is required because the vMX is replacing a competitor vendor equivalent which is doing NATing. Local breakout is an option we hadn't considered, but that doesn't require SD-WAN plus I thought? The other workaround we were considering would be to put the vMX in a separate org and configure non-Meraki VPN.

Yeah, we're familiar with vMX in Azure in Passthrough mode for AutoVPN connectivity, that's how we've always done them in the past. But a customer has seen vMX can now be in Routed mode, wants to use as a NATing gateway alongside AutoVPN. Not being able to split-tunnel is now a problem.

Hi, On review of the vMX Setup Guide for Azure, we were disappointed to find that you can't have a vMX in Azure in Routed Mode and do AutoVPN split tunnelling. We can understand why dashboard might need work to enable this (you'd need the table under VPN Settings to manually define local networks that you normally only see in Passthrough mode) but can't imagine we're the only ones that see this as a big miss - is it likely that this limitation will be fixed can anyone comment? Thanks.

Hi, I'm being really dumb here, but in the API Reference in DevNet (https://developer.cisco.com/meraki/api-v1/overview/) when using the built-in API browser, how do you set your API Key as the Authorization Global header? It's been a while since I've used it and I want to use a different key, and no matter where I look the Authorization parameter is greyed out. Thanks.

It turns out that when you configure the Full Disk Access permissions it doesn't get reflected in the GUI on the device, so when I was thinking it wasn't being applied it actually was. There's just no way of verifying the policy is being applied on the end device other than if the application you're granting the permission to starts working correctly/stops complaining.

Hi. Does anyone have any insights into configuring a Privacy Preferences payload for macOS to give an application Full Disk Access (the permission shown in Systems Manager is 'System Policy All Files')? I am trying to do this for Cisco Secure Client & Cisco Secure Endpoint, using the Secure Endpoint published documentation (by specifying the BundleID), but it just doesn't seem to get applied. I've checked the BundleID given in the documentation matches the application when installed and it does. Thanks

You'd have to push the xml profile file to the correct location on the user's endpoint which you should be able to do with Intune.

You need to populate your endpoints with a client profile. On the Client VPN > Cisco Secure Client Settings page there's a link to download the Secure Client Profile Editor which you can use to create a profile (which is just an xml file). Hi, I've had some conflicting information so would appreciate if anyone could confirm please? When configuring Local internet breakout - VPN exclusion rules and using Protocol DNS, if you specify a domain is a wildcard (i.e. all subdomains) implied, or does it only apply to exact hostname matches? I've noticed some new Windows endpoints not showing up on the Devices page, but have been able to view them by going to Systems Manager > Summary where they appear in the New Clients table

I came across this same scenario this morning, rang licensing support and they offered no assistance and insisted the vMX license had to match existing license level, so the support notes mentioned above does not appear to be followed in all cases.

OS is Windows 11 and these are brand new laptops. Have tested by building a clean install Windows 11 VM and also see the same behaviour. The SM agent is v4.2.2, but as mentioned these are App installs via MDM that are failing including the install of the SM Agent itself. Thanks
