We have the same issue with 30.7.1. Oddly, it impacts indiscriminately Android and iPhone based off the logs. Issue appeared when the software was upgraded. Are there regression defects known in this release?

Yes and no, there are features that help the customer in deciding which AP to connect, but the decision is still up to the customer. Unfortunately you can't confirm it.
