I have an MX105 deployed at one of my branch locations that has a SMF (Single Mode Fiber) connection to my main office building. I'm attempting to build 10G connectivity across that SMF, but have been unsuccessful to establish link. Summary of my scenario below. Main site has a 4500x, remote site has MX105, single mode fiber between locations. I'm using an "SFP-10G-LR-S" optic on each side of the connection. I have confirmed the ability to establish link to a 3850 switch at the remote site using the same optic and fiber. My question is, does the MX105 have a hard requirement to have a "MA-SFP-10G-LR" to establish this connectivity? Will it be compatible to connect with the "SFP-10G-LR-S" on the opposite side of the connection, since the 4500x doesn't show support for the "MA-SFP-10G-LR" module? Thanks in advance.
