Hello team Hardware : 6 MS 210 48 ports with a physical stack (with Meraki cables). Firmware : 17.2.2 Symptoms : This sequence (one per minute) port: 53, old: down, new: 20Gfdx port: 54, old: down, new: 20Gfdx port: 54, old: 20Gfdx, new: down port: 53, old: 20Gfdx, new: down My logs are flooded. I changed the stack cable and test on other switchs without any problems. What do you advise ? Many thanks.

Hello Team, On my MS210 switch i can see some windows dell computers with their hostname in the switch port description. But for some computers i can see that the port descrption is populated with a client ID like this : ae35989b-b677-438e-91ef-d65b245dcef5. Is it because the computer is connected to the meraki swithc trough a little unmanaged switch or do we have to configure the network card of the computer ? Many thanks for your reply !

Hello, I need to activate the access manager feature on the dashboard. I would like to activate this feature for only one network for testing purpose. thanks My question is more for internet traffic. I would like to detect packet loss on a wan internet access and trigger a failover action on the other wan access. Actually i think it is only possible for VPN traffic (with performance classes for vpn traffic). Any other ideas ? Thanks !

Hello I would like to create a SD WAN rule based on the packet loss detection or latency detection. For example we have a wan access that present lot of packet error and i would like to failover the other one wan acess in case of important amount of loss. Is it possible to apply this rule on internet traffic only (not the auto vpn traffic) ? Please let me know. Thanks

ohhh ! I understand why you are talking about time and costs about this issue with MX75. If spare products are not usable, has Meraki proposed another solution? For example, make somes tests on replacement products before sending them to customers or offering another mx model in order to compensate for customers extra cost due to this issue ?

I don't want to waste my time with untested products sold by Meraki when this incident has been around for a long time. Meraki has to do stress tests before marketing products and it's not up to the customer to do this. I therefore ask Meraki to take back all products awaiting deployment and replace them with tested and 100% FUNCTIONAL products.

Hello, Are you 100% sure that the MX75s returned as replacements will not restart randomly? I saw on the Meraki community that some users had obtained replacement MX75s that were also affected by this same problem. Can you send 100% functional MX75s? Is it possible to do the stress tests at Cisco rather than asking your customers to do them? We are Meraki customers and have no time to lose.

I'm lucky enough to have bought 12 firewalls and have only deployed 2. But of the 2, 1 restarts randomly! So I'm not going to put buggy equipment into production until Meraki has taken the necessary steps to find a solution. It's a disgrace to still be selling this equipment with known malfunctions! I agree that it looks like a scam. We have 600 units of Meraki equipment (firewall, wifi, switch), but these are the first MX75s we've got, and they're unusable as they are. I'm also responsible for the infrastructure to be deployed on our sites, and I chose this model, which is the most suitable. I already had my doubts about the choice of Meraki firewalls, but this incident has reinforced them. Please forward this message and help spread the word about this problem within the community. Yes me too i am very frustrated about this situation ! It is not a question of RMA because Meraki seems to be aware of this issue but they still continue to send MX75 to their customer ! These numerous incidents have a negative impact on our business and our project are being called into question, and may not be realized until a reliable solution is found. I have serial numbers to provide to Meraki support... Last firmware release did not fix the issue.

Hello Team Recently we bought 12 MX75 appliances. We have the first in production but it reboot twice a day !!!! The firmware is in the last release but still rebooting. Our Cisco account manager is aware of that. We plan to deploy all the 11 MX75 on remote location but we can't start this project because of this issue ! The Meraki support is unable to find a solution and a RMA is not acceptable for us. Is there any engineer in Cisco meraki to find a solution ???? We have many Meraki devices and we are very frustrated !!!! Many thanks Meraki support 🙂

Thanks for your reply. I will pay for a /29 subnet on each ISP. Is it the correct configuration ? 1 shared VIP from ISP 1 + 4 IP (2 for WAN1 MX1 + 2 for WAN1 MX2). 1 shared VIP from ISP 2 + 4 IP (2 for WAN2 MX1 + 2 for WAN2 MX2). Many thanks.

Hello team ! Need your help to clarify a point. I will install 2 MX75 (primary and spare) on my locations. I will use the LAN side for VRRP messages. Each LAN MX75 port will be connected to a switch. On the WAN side, i will use the virtual uplinks ips. Can you help me to define the number of public ip address i will need. From my understanding, i need these ip address : MX1 : WAN 1 (connected to ISP 1 router port 1) IP address : X.X.X.3 Gateway : X.X.X.1 WAN 2 (connected to ISP 2 router port 1) IP address : Y.Y.Y.3 Gateway : Y.Y.Y.1 MX2 : WAN 1 (connected to ISP 1 router port 2) IP address : X.X.X.4 Gateway : X.X.X.2 WAN 2 (connected to ISP 2 router port 2) IP address : Y.Y.Y.4 Gateway : Y.Y.Y.2 ISP 1 VIP : X.X.X.5 ISP 2 VIP : Y.Y.Y.5 Do you think i need 5 public ip address per ISP for a transparent HA failover and failback ?
