Unfortunately I don't, but I also did try swapping the cable ends into the opposite ports, nothing. It might be the cable, but I just want to be sure (configuration-wise) before ordering another set and having the same issue. ... View more

@UCcert sorry I forgot to mention that I did check the sfp transceivers' laser from an angle (I didn't look directly inside just like you recommended), as well as when the fiber cable was plugged in on one end. Light passes through, and I made sure the opposite side inside the switch with the sfp transceiver didn't have light in it (so light into no-light). Bizarre for me, these cables and transceivers are all brand new out of the bag/box. ... View more

Configuring Core Switch to get online with Sonicwall AND have Edge Switch c...

Hey again everyone,   Working on this project, I'm very unfamiliar with how to set up the Meraki switches properly, literally have 0 experience before starting. So I apologize if this topic was posted already before, but my scenario seems specific to our environment. I have a Sonicwall switch that has given an IP to the Core switch (MS410-16) when I plug it in to get onto the internet. This is nice, but now that I'm connecting an LC to LC cable from the Core switch to an Edge switch ( MS125-24P), I cannot get the port to light up or do anything. When I'm in the dashboard and click on the port, it recognizes that there's a transceiver and the brand of the transceiver. Physical connections wise, I believe I have it correct, just need some direction to what I should be configuring and how on the Core and Edge switches.   Thank you in advance for your help on this. ... Configuring MS410-16 physical stack of switches

Hey everyone,   Was following this video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IKDHnZzkJ8I And I'm having trouble with the switches to show up as a stack automatically on this page (as noted in the video link at timestamp 2:06):  Both switches are the same model, on the same firmware (14.33.1) and the stacking cables are identical. The cables are EQUAL brand, model: MA-CBL-40G-1M-EO I also have the cable from stackport 1 of the primary switch, going into stackport 2 of the secondary switch, and the second cable going into stackport 1 of the secondary switch, going into stackport 2 of the primary switch.   The port itself says it's "Disconnected". Any help in trying to get this physical stack to work would be super appreciative.   Thank you all in advance for your help and insights.   ... View more

Ah, so no way to configure them locally via ssh or any traditional networking method? My only issue is that the building I'm going to replace the switches with is still in production. The cut over would have to happen at a later date, so I was hoping to prep everything in advance. Then just unplug the internet connection from the old hardware, plug it into the new Meraki switches, and that'll be the end of the physical hardware switching. ... View more

Configuring MS410-16 without using Cloud Dashboard management

Hey everyone. Apologies if this was topic was covered already, but I would like to configure an MS410-16 switch (stacking it with a second one) locally. Was hoping to configure it through Putty CLI or through the web browser (already connected to it on the browser). The browser connection is limited though, so I can't set up multiple VLANs per port like I'd like, or to set up jumbo packets, sflow, and lldp for instance. Any insight would be appreciative, thank you in advance for your responses. ... View more
