I have the same problem, I suspect it is to do with devices that were not purchased directly from the Apple Business Store, but rather manually sync/added via Configuration Manager. I am not sure if it is making any difference/impact though?

Yes it will be referring to the System Manager app, which is the agent installed on the iPad. Obviously erasing the iPad removes the management agent so you will see that. To install it back - you essentially are re-provisioning the iPad, and re-enrolling it, so if you left the entry in the Device Manager when you erased it - it will re-sync/checkin etc.

FYI - for anyone else wanting to know, Meraki Support came back to me, and suggested the following: Go to System Manager > Policies > Create New Policy ... towards the bottom, All Devices -- pick a number for check in intervals. You can then apply this new policy to your iPhone profile. The iPhones may have been trying to check in every 15 minutes, which is default for mobile devices for SM

Hi I just wanted to get an idea / or get feedback from other companies that are managing their fleet of iPhones/Androids devices. Our company policy is that Location Services must be enabled on devices, in the event of theft/lost etc. As we can't force this on devices using Meraki, we have been going around enabling them on staff phones manually. Since doing so, some staff complain it severely drains the battery life, has anyone else found this and how are you managing this? One device, for example is an iPhone 13, with 98% maximum battery capacity. Can you fine tune the location services polling or how often it checks in? I have contacted Meraki support, but not getting any responses so far.

G'day We have previously been an iPhone store, but we are now offering Android deployment however since playing around with Android phones, I have been noticing that not all functionality is working. For example, 1. The Phone Dialler is missing (phone button) 2. Contacts is missing 3. I can't power off the phone 4. I can't search through the listed apps 5. I can't access apps via Playstore. I feel like it is something to do with this KNOX feature. Here is what I have done so far 1. Purchased the phone through a local retailer, 2. Turned on phone and tapped phone 6 times to enroll 3. Selected Device Owner Mode in Meraki SM, and scanned barcode (I can't choose Work Profile via QR Code) 4. In Meraki SM, I have setup some Device Profiles, mostly allowing System Apps, require PIN, and prevent Factory Reset, 5. Setup some Apps to be deployed The app deploy fine, but I still can't do basic functions like open the Phone app, or Contacts. What am I missing here?
