Well what I ended up doing is just swapping the two MX, renewed the dashboard license and then added the ap license. Thanks everyone for your input.

Thanks... I did read the license documentation over and over. However, what Cisco provided me is with a license key that has the renewal for the MS220’s and the 3 year license for the MX68. They just told me to make sure I use the renewal when I add the key. Then separately, I was provided an MR46 with a 5 year license. Not too worried about the MR46 as I will just add that license later. Maybe what I will do over the weekend is just remove the MX64/68 from the network and then add the MX68 to the existing network, then wait for that to come online then add the renewal license then the ap license. Is that a good plan?

Currently I have an MX64, two MS220 and a MR46 in my home lab and the license is expiring in the end of January. I have purchased an MX68W with license along with renewing my two MS220. I have duplicated my network and the new MX68 is on the network and does have the configuration. My question is, if I enter the license renewal key, will my MX64 drop off? Should I remove the MX64 from the network, then move the MX68 to the existing network and then apply the renewal license? Then I have a separate 5 year license for the MR46 that I can add as a device after? -Scott
