Unfortunately, no.   It was logged with support last year and, as far as I know, it is still an open issue. ... View more

1. Yes. 2. Using a VLAN starting with, say, 192.168.128.0/24 provides 253 addresses on that network. You could have multiple VLANs. 3. I only have a GX20, but I think it would be suitable for up to 50 clients.   Suggested reading: GX20 Data Sheet Meraki Go Indoor WiFi Access Point - GR10 Datasheet Meraki Go Outdoor WiFi Access Point - GR60 Datasheet     ... Hi everyone.   Last couple of days I have noticed that when I go to:   Hardware > GX20 > Security Protection > Security Policy > Select a security policy   it just shows as blank, as follows:       and then shortly after that, the Meraki Go app crashes. I have the latest version of the app and iOS. I am also seeing the same thing from another iOS device. Anyone else seeing the same problem?   TIA. ... View more

I only have a GX20 but did investigate VLANs. It seems that, at the moment, the level of configuration on the GX20 is very basic.   I believe the Meraki Enterprise products provide more VLAN configuration and network isolation.   There is an example in the documentation, but I cannot test it as I don't have all the hardware:   Meraki Go - VLAN Configuration ... Thank you for your message.   No connection errors reported. Device reports all is well and healthy.   I have been in contact with support, even to the point where support remotely rebooted the GX20 a few days ago.  Successful, but spooky!   The issue is still with support. ... View more

Here is what you get:       Lots of places you can test its firewall, such as:   https://www.grc.com -> ShieldsUP! -> All Service Ports.   With the optional Umbrella Security, you have better protection. From the Meraki Go App you can set several levels of protection:   Security Filtering Only Security & Basic Appropriate Use Filtering Security & Moderate Appropriate Use Filtering.   The App also logs security events, which you can check. And in a browser you would see this, for example:   ... View more

Under Configure -> Internet, check what you have:     Modify Connection type to either Direct or PPPoE (those are the options I see here in the UK). With PPPoE, it will require additional information.   Modify IP assignment to DHCP or Static. With Static it will require the address your ISP gave you.   Configure the Web proxy if you use that. In my case I did not have to modify that.   Then go to Connection -> Security Appliance details to confirm that the details look good. If all is well, you should see the following at the top of the page:     The device should be running as the internet gateway. ... View more

I also only have a GX20 from Cisco. WiFi is provided by a Ubquiti AmpliFi HD running in bridge mode.   The first time I set it up, I connected to it using.a cable from my PC, because I had to change the settings for the ISP which can be found on the Configure tab on http://wired.meraki.com. This was the set up:   --------- -------- ------ | Modem | <-> | GX20 | <-> | PC | --------- -------- ------   Second, and subsequent times (because I had to reset the GX20), I found that just having the GX20 on the existing network, the Meraki Go app finds it just fine, although I still need a web browser to change some ISP settings and prepare it as the gateway device to the internet. First, like this:   --------- ----------- -------- | Modem | <-> | AmpliFi | <-> | GX20 | --------- ----------- --------   And then like this once the GX20 is ready to act as the gateway:   --------- -------- ----------- | Modem | <-> | GX20 | <-> | AmpliFi | --------- -------- -----------   The security subscription can be activated from https://account.meraki-go.com/.   HTH ... Thank you for your reply.   I tried a few other things.   First I moved the GX20 to be behind the AmpliFi. So, the AmpliFi was the internet gateway. The Meraki Go app could see the GX20 on the network. Result: Still no reboot. Conclusion: Bridge mode is not the issue.   Second, my ISP provides some filtering capability that can be configured on the web. None of that appears to block Cisco traffic, but I temporarily disabled the filtering completely. Result: Still no reboot. Conclusion: ISP filtering is not the issue. However, I have contacted my ISP to check if any web sites or ports are blocked globally on their side.   Third, I notice that in the app there is Hostname assigned. It looks like this format:   <organization name>-appliance-<some kind of random characters>.dynamic-m.com   I assume this is to handle Dynamic IPs.   Result: Trying to get to his web site fails. Correction: It loads the GX20 configuration page. Conclusion: Not sure if I am meant to see the contents of this hyperlink. Correction: It loads the GX20 configuration page. ... View more

Thank you for the reply.   No, there is no splash page on the network and no network restrictions. The other two options: Test Connection and Blink LED work just fine.   I even swapped out the AmpliFi for an old Apple Airport Extreme (also in bridge mode). Exactly the same result as before. I just wonder if bridge mode would be the cause of the problem.     ... View more

Hi everyone.   I have been using a Meraki Go GX20 for a couple of months now and it seems to be working well.   However, the "Reboot hardware" just does not work from the app. I have tried many things: reset hardware, uninstall/reinstall app, tried using app from different device, so on. Nothing fixes the problem. All I see is a kind of rotating beach ball and it never changes from that.         I have already been in contact with Meraki Support and they have run out of ideas.   Wifi on my home network is provided by a Ubiquiti AmpliFi in bridge mode. The GX20 provides the security to the internet. Other than the problem above, everything works great.   Has anyone had a similar problem? If so, how did you fix it please?   TIA.   ... View more
