This is a solid explanation and lines up with real world behavior. Packet marking on its own doesn’t do much when you’re already limited by the ISP. The default shaping rules sound useful on paper but rarely matter unless those exact apps are active. The point about uplink bandwidth being coarse is important and often overlooked.
