You've probably already checked but, have you gone into the Meraki SM app > Configuration > and checked that there is a green tick next to AFW Account? If there's an orange triangle you need to click on it to activate and then wait a while. Once thats activated apps should start to download. ... View more

I often get this when enrolling new devices - I end up just leaving them for a while and it usually goes through.    But If it's still not working I make sure I have gone to the play store for work https://play.google.com/work Logged in with the same account that's linked to meraki SM (under Organisation > MDM > Android Enterprise) In the play store I check that the app is approved choosing 'Keep App Approved' under approval settings.    You can then go into the meraki SM dashboard and 'reinstall missing' apps under the device.   ... @Andrewwrote: I am having a recurring error that prevents me from approving apps. I select the app, scroll down, select approve. It begins to process then has a error pop-up: Approve Permissions > Error approving app.  This probably low hanging fruit, but I don't know why it would be different from one app to another.   Thanks Hi @Andrew,   I have had this problem before - to approve the app you need to go to https://play.google.com/work/ logged in with the google account that was linked to your meraki SM (find this under Organisation > Configure > MDM > Under the android for work section).    Once logged in, find the app in the play store and click approve.   Give it an hour or so and it should be approved and ready to download on your devices. If not, then try syncing AFW apps in the meraki dashboard (under systems manager > MDM > Apps > Accounts)   ... View more

Probably better not to report unreliable locations. 😎       Login info is generally gathered via IP so does as you say tend to be quite innacurate. Systems Manager client location however when gathered via GPS is normally accurate but the text above the map shows somethig out of date (sometimes from a few days orr weeks ago) ... View more

You will need to re-enroll using the afw#meraki option enter the new users credentials when you enroll?   I have been locked out by factory reset protection before but was unable to unlock it using the previous users personal Google account. Apparently since more recent systems manager versions factory reset protection has been disabled. https://community.meraki.com/t5/Endpoint-Management-Systems/Disable-factory-reset-protection/m-p/11128#M1378   Do you get the factory reset protection screen when you boot and try to set up the device?    ... @jared_f I could but when the device is transferred over to the new network it removes all of the apps from their home screens (something to do with the dodgy white list on the old network) and they have to sign in to their email accounts again so I had just been moving devices over as and when they come through the IT department or when we have a problem.   Is there somewhere I can regenerate the QR code for the correct network?   Thanks   UPADTE: I have just scanned the v7 - v8 (Oreo) QR codes for both the old and new networks (Systems Manager > MDM > Add Devices) with a barcode scanner app and they are producing different URLs so its strange they they end up enrolling into the same network! -  I am going to test some more with a new device now...   UPDATE 2: After enrolling a new device the QR code has worked, must have take some time for the QR code to update when I change the default network from this morning.   @Melissa's solution was the fix, it just took time to apply the change and update the QR code.   Thanks for your help everyone! ... @jared_f Hi, I can use the enrollment code and it works to the new network, but not via QR or auto enrollment -  that puts them in the old Network.   The reason that we had to create a new SM network is because we were having issues with SM pushing things that we weren't pushing via the dashboard (it was pushing old WiFi settings and an incorrect app blacklist that had been removed from the dashboard) I had cases for these open with Meraki (that went on for months) but there was never a real solution other that to create a new SM network and transfer all the devices across to the new one. ... Change default Systems Manager Network?

Hi,   I have recently set up a second systems manager network, is it possible to change the default systems manager network that devices are enrolled to, to be the new one? I cant find an option anywhere.   It mentions the default network under the add devices via QR code page: "In the device's setup wizard, tap the screen 6 times then scan this QR code. The SM app will be auto-installed and auto-enroll the device in the default Network."   I just cant find an option to change the default...   Thanks ... View more

It just says its activating then closes but the AFW icon remains as an orange triangle.   I also am having an error approving new apps from the Meraki dashboard, I just get 'Error Approving App'.   Under MDM settings i have got a meraki managed android for work account enrolled - Should I try unrolling and re enrolling? Will this break anything already enrolled with AFW accounts?   Thanks! ... View more
