I am on MX 18.107 and my MX67W is performing well on this version. I am not seeing the slowness in resolution like I was, and content category filtering appears to be working too.

I have applied 17.10.4 to my MX67W and so far, so good. Both content filtering and performance seem to be working as expected. However, according to the support engineer on the case I have open, this fix is NOT in the 18.x branch yet. Recommend you do not allow the devices to upgrade to the 18.x firmware yet. I guess you can call this particular topic for 17.x resolved but not overall as it relates to all current firmware releases.

Still have issues with 18.105 on MX67W. Had to once again rollback to 16.16 to maintain wireless client performance.

OK, applied 16.16 and L7 filtering & performance appear to be normal and as expected at this point. I will hold on this version until they resolve the 17.x issues. I am keeping my case open until they fix the 17.x branch.

Support actually responded and advised that 16.16 is the last-known-good 16 branch version. I've asked them to make that available to me and I will give that a go to see if I can get back to full L7 filtering and expected performance on my wireless clients. I've been a Meraki MX security appliance customer for over 5 years and never had this much trouble. Sad to see the product line degrade like this.

Yes, I just got bit by that as well. Forgot to set my firmware upgrade to "Ignore". Had to rollback to 17.9 again to correct performance issues on wireless.

Yes, after 17.10 very slow on all wireless devices. Rebooted and power cycled, all without effect. Not wanting to roll back to 17.9 because 17.10 fixed an issue with wireless clients not honoring L7 filter policy. Arg... trade one problem for another :-(.

It seems the 17.10 firmware update just released and pushed to my appliance fixed this issue. Wireless clients are now getting policy applied correctly.

I was finally able to get a case opened and Meraki acknowledged that there is a bug in MX67W firmware 17.x whereas wireless clients are bypassing several security features. Their workaround was to create a new group policy and organize your wireless clients into that policy, however, that has not worked for me. Awaiting a fix from Meraki and have an open support case. This is a major bug in the security appliance, and I would hope they would get a fix for this soon!

Turns out that Cisco had my customer ID messed up and was not attributed to my license properly. They got that squared away and I am now able to submit cases via the dashboard.

@ww I agree with you, that is what is confusing. Both wired and wireless are in the same "normal" group policy. Both are on the same VLAN. The various sites that should be blocked are not explicitly in the whitelist. I've tried both Windows 11 and iPhone on wireless to rule out OS/browser behavior with the same result.

Content filtering from my wireless clients is not working. These clients are on the same VLAN as my wired clients on an inside network. Content filtering is enforced on my wired clients, but not my wireless. Can't figure out what changed as this was working and I've not made any network changes. Running firmware version MX 17.8

Seems that submitting a case from the Help -> Cases menu no longer works. I've tried twice now, and my case does not show up. This use to work and I have past cases show but no new ones get created. MX67 on MX 17.8. Anyone else noticed this behavior?

I think you are on the right track. The truth is on the wire. Wireshark from client or pcap from the appliance. If it is that chatty, you should be able to identify the high volume destinations. You could then also netstat -not to find the owning process. Or use the sysinternals tool TCPview to help you see more on the client side.
