Hi,   Just like to share that I have presented this feature to our main customer (store chain) and we're both please with it.   So far, it as been a great tool to quickly pin-point the problem that affect specific users. @Anonymous ; for that amount of APs, sure. What I usually do is to manually configure the 2,4 channels on the central APs and let in auto those that detect a lot of neighboring rogue APs so they can avoid the external interference as much as possible.   And as long as the APs are mapped correctly during the installation, it's possible to adjust the channels without going on site. My usual procedure is to install the APs in auto, let them negotiate their channels between them and the neighboring APs and, on the next day, check the channel map and make the necessary adjustments. That shouldn't be a problem because, by default, they would set themselves to non overlapping channels. As for free RF Spectrum... "if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys"... Ekahau HeatMapper is just for wifi signal, it's not a RF spectrum analyzer. For that you'll need a Ekahau Sidekick or a Netscout Airmagnet. Hi,   There is no rule of thumb for recommended distance between APs. There's the basic "1 AP per 25 client equipment’s" but I strongly suggest a site survey, focusing in which are the main areas you want/need coverage and what type of service would use the network (like just simple data or there would be voice services with roaming clients?). And also check which interference is generated by the workshop machines and other sources of RF interference (microwave ovens, motion/alarm sensors, neighbor rogue APs, etc).   At the worst case scenario, if you don't have a RF spectrum analyzer or budget to pay for a Site Survey, you can install a MR33 and check the RF Spectrum status but if you want to pinpoint interference sources, you have to run a survey with a spectrum analyzer.   Regards, Vasco ... Hey Mike,   We have APs, authenticating the corporate SSID with and ISE, that is synchronized with a Windows AD.   No need for another hardware. Yes, our ISE+AD solution was already working for wired and a controller based wifi sollution so we only had to add the ISE details in the Meraki config and also, at the ISE, add the Meraki's to the list of sources of equipment's authorized to send authentication requests. ... From my experience; I would focus more on the client equipment’s than with the Meraki APs (or other vendor APs).  Got a situation where all clients worked fine except a specific brand and type of smartphones. Those phones would work fine throughout the different floors but, from the several packet captures that I've done, I notice that as soon as they detected a beacon from the AP that was used one the first time they registered on the network, they would try to roam back to it, even if they were already registered in APs with the much better RSSI and SNR values.   Have you checked the technical doc's or support communities from those equipment’s?   ... Maybe... For me, I had to trial&error and check at the Network-Wide->Event Log->Security Appliances which sites was being blocked. For ipads I just needed to open apple.com and itunes.com For iphone7 I had to open an access to the app manufacturer site For iphone6 and SE I had to open a dozen different sites. For androids I had to open a lot of more sites   To fullfill the customer requirments I had to configure 62 entries at the Whitelisted URL patterns list. ... View more

Hi, Do you have a Network for each Location? A quick way to solve that is to add Networks, for instance, select the Organization, click in Network, select "add network", name it; define which type; clone the config from a already running Network and them fine tune the SSIDs that you want.
