I would be tempted to find out if they will give you the email address of any administrator on the account. Then you can setup that email address, do a password reset, and get access. Otherwise you have to go through a longer legal proof process. When Meraki licencing runs out the devices stop working. So it is critical you maintain current licencing.

Yes, turn vlans on. All interfaces on the MX will be trunk interfaces. You'll probably want to change some of them to access interfaces in a specific VLAN.

1. Typically in this case you create a VLAN, and plug the MPLS into that VLAN. NAT is not done between VLANS. This guide talks about configuring MPLS failover to AutoVPN. The MX has to be online before you can configure it. So frequently you have to use the local status page to do this. The RDP brute force password tools are every good. The last one I tested didn't even cause event log entries to be generated. After I tested that tool I don't like my clients exposing RDP directly to the Internet anymore. You could consider using an RDP gateway. Duo is really good for 2FA.

If both switches are in layer 2 mode, you can add it to the stack and the configs will be kept. From memory, if one of the switches in operating in layer 3 mode the stack will ask you which config you want to keep, and the other switch will loose its layer 3 config. The layer 2 config is retained.

I don't think you can. The closest you could manage would to to capture events using syslog and then passing those events. Actually, you could use the deviceStatuses to get the status of every device, and build your own from their.
