Yes, saw that with some of my MR55 as well. As I was told they will work in a reduced way but had issues I opened a SUPPORT case and was told. that the MR45 and MR55 are not working in 802.3af and would have strange behaviour. I was also told to have the latest version of software running on it too. So in short you need 802.3at as per the datasheet ... unfortunately.

now we are talking as we start to explain things using cars and motorbikes 😉 With gpoing mobile I would like to use the Wifi-6 APs connect them with mGig to MS355 and aggregate them on a core/distribution switch. that switch would also have WAN uplinks. Yes I know WAN will become the bottle neck. But the company does have bandwith intensive servers and also so dedicated links to connect them between sites. Thats why i think having that flexibility would open the usecase for the MS450

Hi, as per the datasheet, I only see the 40G and 100 interfaces. what about support of other transceivers, SFPs and SFP+ could anybody point me to that information If I could also use 10G or even a 1G Copper SFP with that switch? thanks ray

The following answer I got in the Wi-Fi 6 Webinar. " All of our WAPs have 4 radios. The BLE and scanning radios won't work if you're on 802.3af. The client serving radios will still have enough power to serve client devices.

HI there, I am wondering if the new MR45 and Mr55 are running with limited power means 802.3af like the old APs? of course with limitation in the amount of enabled radios and MIMO but at least run to ease transformation of large scale.

Using Wifi to become the new access. This means higher user density on same AP, less issues with RF and better integration of client hardware. Wireless health to be even more granular for making troubleshooting and identifying client issues an easy go. Get away from the backwards compatibility, most of the time it is like driving a Panigale on a running trail. On the Customer side I hope the understanding of fact that if AP is the new Access layer the Switches become the distribution layer and needs more uplink bandwith. Investing in infrastructure cabling for APs and switches to gain more flexibility for the users.

thanks all for the replies. the solution to my problem was fairly easy. I did do a reset of the MX via the reset button, checked the settings afer it came up and ... boom it worked. Now it is doing fine as documented.

Hi community, I am new here so please apologize if i missed something. in my setup the mx is in passthrough in between a router and an ms350 which have ospf running. AMP is not doing anything but if i change the MX to NAT mode AMP works. Could it be that this is the standard behaviour? thanks for guidance
