Also having the same issue with a couple of Motorola G4's and G5's that were working but after a format and remove from Meraki wont install AFW.

From my limited understanding that if you add one app to the black list then it will make everything else available to download.

Hi All. Just trying to setup a google pixel phone and I'm getting the following error Cant setup device Couldn't use the admin app due to a checksum error. For help contact your admin. Anyone have any suggestions why. The device is a google pixel running Android 8

I've tried a number of phones, Motorola G5 and a google pixel. All the phones are having the same issue which is just bonkers. It's only the contacts app that seems to terminate, uninstall then re install Even gone ahead and created a new profile where I whitelisted system apps and yet contacts still does that strangeness.

I've placed the apps I need onto a white list and the contacts app, only the contacts app is having issues with deleting itself, re installing, wait a few minutes and then it happens again. So I thought to test on a system without MDM. Guess what contacts is rock solid. With a phone on and booting into safe mode then the problem doesn't happen. I've gone as far as creating the bare bones of a profile, whitelisting android system apps and guess what..... Same issue.

Im working on another issue with the contacts app and stumbled across this setting neslted away in Meraki. In Profile and settings, clicking on More andriod options and then selecting Android System Apps I can see where it says By default all system apps are disabled. Does this mean that The Contacts app which is pretty much a standard app will be disabled, hence why it's trying to re install itself all the time as part of the system. If I white list the app then I'm black listing all the others if I've read the documentation properly? Cheers in advance

So more updates. The app has been re approved but Meraki insists on saying the date of when it was first approved. The only option I might have now is to completly unapprove teh app but then i hit the risk of if the app is deleted so are users contacts. Now hopefully users have synched their contacts but it's still something I'd prefer to fix rather than format and re install type fix.

What gives with this forum software, i write a reply, if i havent logged in it then asks me to login. Fine but then I loose everything I've written. Anyways... Seems this is a bigger issues and having the same problem with Android 7 and 8 with handsets from differing vendors. It's only happening on the one application "Contacts"

Hi All, - Google Pixel - Android 8 Have a strange issues with the contacts app on a device we have here. I can go through the enrollment process as normal and all is ok until I start to use contacts. After a few moments of using the contacts app it'll terminate itself, uninstalls any shortcuts I've placed on the home screen and then re install itself. I've checked that the app is approved and authorised etc but for some reason it's just not playing ball. If the phone is setup as normal, i/e without enrollment into MDM the app works fine, it;s only when the phone is enrolled i'm getting this issue. Anyone else had this?
