OMG my cisco routers 2600 only supports up to group 5 and no more. Its the router I am using in LAB. Now what other options do I have to test an IPSec VPN apart from my old cisco 2600. Can I set it up with the Windows server. On one end I have MX95 and I have to test IPSec VPN IKEv2 on any other device. I was testing it on 2600. But it seems that is too old now. Any suggestions?

Bro we have a P2P connection b/w two sites, established by the govt-ISP. Now we want to setup VPN tunnel on top of that p2p connection. Its govt. project and thats how they want it. I have setup a lab with an MX and a cisco router but in Meraki dashboard I am getting fips disabled error on event log

Hi all, I know we can establish a VPN with a non-Meraki VPN peer i.e. One side Meraki MX and other peer/side a non-meraki VPN peer. Now as per the dashboard, we have to enter public IP of the non-Meraki VPN Peer. In my scenario, I have to establish a VPN with a non-Meraki VPN peer on Private IP address. So, can we add a non-Meraki VPN peer with a Private IP address?

Yeah thats what we are doing. We wasted time in our last VMX100 failure but at the end we had to rebuild the environment. Anyhow thanks. We will try to host one VMX in AWS.

For some strange reason (un-identifiable) our 2nd VMX100 hosted in Azure is going down. From the Meraki dashboard it seems as the hardware (which actually is a VM / Managed App) is down. The dashboard part seems fine. But we are unable to identify what happens to the VM / the managed app. There are no alerts or warnings on the Azure. Since the managed app is a locked resource, so we cant even reboot or restart. There is nothing we can actually do with it. Did anyone came across with similar situation. Any guidance to troubleshoot would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I already read that on the meraki documentation. Although it says but it does not show the duplex mode anywhere. It only shows the speed at which it is connected. It does not show the duplex info.

Oh.. thats great What about the other part. Can we verify/check if port is not only connected on 100mbps but its also half duplex. According to one CISCO thread if a port is connected on 1000mbps its always full duplex automatically but if it is 100mbps it can be half/full both. How can we check what is the duplex mode of a low connected port. The dark connected port?

Hi, Is there a way we can change the duplex option on Meraki switches e.g. change full to half duplex on different speeds? Or at lease we can confirm what is duplex option when a port is connected at 100 and 10mbps. I know the dark green light means operating at low, and most probably at 100 and half duplex. But its not clear if the port is only running on 100mbps or with 100mbps its also operating on half duplex. Thanks Waheed Ali

Dear @PhilipDAth Thanks for your reply. What I am actually looking is a way to control which spoke should be able to connect to the Hub, from the Hub end, and not from the spoke end. 2ndly the VPN firewall rules you are referring, can I control which site should be able to connect to Hub and which not, basically by first adding "deny any" rule and then add specific subnets (of the spokes) which I want to able to connect to the hub. Is that so?

We are working in an environment where all Meraki devices (MX, MS & MRs) are in same organization. Now while establishing site-to-site VPN, any spoke can connect to the any hub they want to. We want to put policy on the hubs, that only allowed spokes should be allowed to connect to the Hub. Can someone tell me if thats possible? If yes, how?

Hi @Seshu, Since I am new with APIs so I took my time to test and try different APIs and how they work. Now the problem I came across is "Access-Control-Allow-Origin". What I basically want is get/put requests from a SharePoint site but this "Access-Control-Allow-Origin" is what we get. And I have realized this to work we need a node server python/js. Which at first place I didnt want to have. What I want is to run the API call directly or indirectly (through a script lying on the same or different web location) from the SharePoint site, without the need of a VM/Container where I host Node. Tell me is that doable or not?
