This is definitely possible. I got it worked out and use an NFC card for both android 8 and android 10 enrollments. I should mention though, I'm not authenticating and just using device based enrollments, but for that config it works great. I imagine it could work with authentication...

I know this is old, but did this ever get resolved? I am seeing this show up occasionally, which has been driving me crazy, but the reboot makes sense. The last information I had on this topic from other sources was to update to either Android 9 or 10. I don't really see that as viable for many situations, so I hope there is still some file that may fix this.

This could be wrong, but it sounds like an app that is normally used outside of kiosk mode is being suppressed or disabled. If those apps work without the kiosk mode, it just sounds like something that is normally used is now being blocked, and needs to be added or allowed. I'm not sure how you could determine what app it is trying to use, as I am just guessing, but if there is like a vpn or some check it does, that could be unavailable due to kiosk mode. To fix it, I would simply add the app that is needed to the kiosk screen (and add it to the system apps profile, as it will almost certainly need to be listed for it to work). I'm just starting to customize my own launcher, so I may come across more information...this just sounds like a similar situation when an app is needed to be 'allowed' for it to work. Good luck.

I too have a few apps that do not show bundled settings. I think they basically need to add support for OEMConfig. I was going to put in a feature request for it today since I didn't see much out there on it. Not many EMM's have this enabled for Android at this moment. Actually, they don't have it for iOS either, but I suspect the apps published this past month will provide the impetus for them to get the api's loaded soon.

Hello all, Does anyone know if there will be OEMConfig support for SM coming in the near future? I imagine it would cover both iOS and Android, although that is worth noting as well. In case this is an unknown topic, please take a look at the next version of 'AppConfig'. There is a lot of information out there and applications that are currently being released have this support built in for this method of setting key-values in apps. For general info: OEMConfig supports nested key-value pairs. So app settings can drill down under a general topic and get very granular. Great if the settings are for a SIP dialer or other complex apps with lots of settings. SM does not currently appear to have support for it, as it does not seem to pick up any settings listed in the restrictions file inside the app. I've not tried to add the settings manually for an app that supports it, although I may need to in the coming days. Does anyone have more information on this topic (for SM)?
