Oke, thanks you all for the comments. The reason is that the customer in any way never want the High to have bandwidth issues. So if there aren't High priority traffic, the Normal can still go on and use the bandwidth and High can reclaimed the bandwidth wen needed.

I'm struggling with the configuration of my Traffic-Shaping and therefore I need some assistance. Issue: We have a 70Mbps internet connection. We also have some important department for which we want the network traffic to always have high priority on the network. We therefore want to create 2 group-policy and assign the important network traffic High and the other network traffic Normal priority. This mean High will have 50Mbps en Normal will have 20Mbps. This is the part I don't understand very well. Does this mean that in my example here above, the 50Mbss always will be seen as a reserved bandwidth for the High priority and will never be available for the Normal priority, even in s situation where there are no High priority network traffic. And the Normal priority never will get more than 20Mbps of the bandwidth even if the rest of the bandwidth is unused by the High priority.

Communication between systems in the same layer 2 domain ignore Gateway. So in your case it can't be the Gateway, since all your systems located in subnet 10.10.0.X/24. You should check the vlan configuration of the port the systems are plugged in. Because it's the same layer 2 domain, the VLAN must be the same for all those systems.

Hello, I'm trying ti use Python SDK for Meraki configuration, but untill now without success. My Python configuration is done as the instruction in this link " https://github.com/meraki/meraki-python-sdk#admins_controller ". My IDE is Visual Code Studio. I also successfull tested the installation after the installation as: E:\Python\Python37\meraki-python-sdk-master>nosetests ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ran 0 tests in 0.141s OK All four folders have python file, but can some explain to me where to start, which python file in which folder should I use. ( see screenshot) I'm not a programmer, but I want to learn how to use those python API files. I also went through lots of Meraki document without success. Thank you.

Please use another interface ( example LAN 3 ) for connecting the subnet without internet, Create a vlan interface with an IP address of the subnet and assign the VLAN to the interface use. WAN2 should have internet reachability,

Hello Is there a way to get blocked network traffic by the Site-to-Site VPN firewall in the event log on the Meraki dashboard. My Meraki Hub MX100 blocked network traffic initiated from the Datacenter Hub, but didn't showed up in the eventlog. Thank you

Thank you PhilipDAth, Yes I can keep the /30 stub. Currently the /30 stub is the only connection between the PfSense en the ISP. The point is, if I use the /30 for the connection between the MX100 en the ISP, I won't be able to do NAT on the /28 subnet, because is not configure on the WAN of the MX100.

Currently we have a DMZ configure on a Pf Sense Firewall and I'm trying to find a way to move the DMZ configurations from the Pf Sense to Meraki MX100. Current configuration: Up-link to ISP = x.x.236.4/30 ( Public IP address ) DMZ subnet = x.x.236.160/28 ( Public IP address ) DMZ servers do have public IP addresses assign and using NAT to translate those public server IP to private IP address on the internal servers. On the MX100 in NAT mode I don't see how to configure and get the same result as on the Pf Sense. The way forward I think is to remove the /30 up-link to ISP subnet and configure the /28 between the ISP and the external MX WAN interface. 1:1 NAT can be use to send traffic from internet to the internal server. Does anyone has another approach how to solve this issue. Thank you.

Solution found. I made a mistake on the DHCP option 3: " using text instead op IP on the code type". Now it's working fine after changing the type to IP. Thanks you all

Take out DHCP option 3 as default-gateway and now DHCP is working as expeted. Thanks for your support. I will go on and test with DHCP option, because I need those for Voice etc.

I'm busy configuring the MX64 for the use of AutoVPN, connected to an MX100 (HA) in the Datacenter. The MX64 is responsible to assign IP addresses, but no IP addresses were assign to a laptop connect directly on port 1 LAN interface of the MX. I trying to blocked traffic from entering the Site-A from Site-B, without having to update all the Debian Firewall rules. If I can blocked inbound traffic on the MX LAN interface, then I don't have to update the Debian. We are now replacing those firewalls with Meraki MX's.

Is it possible to block inbound traffic from remote site connected via MPLS link which is connected on the LAN 1 interface of an MX-64 to prevent NAT. The LAN network of the site is connected on LAN 2 interface . The internet interface is for the local internet breakout. As far I can see, the L3 Firewall is for outbound traffic, but I was wondering if it possible to use this same L3 firewall rule in opposite direction to deny traffic sourcing from remote site's. I'm not able to test this setup yet, as I'm working a configuration to replace other firewalls. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible to configure templates for MX firewalls and also have the ability to add traffic shaping configuration on the MX firewall it self. Within the templates we have devices which connected to locations with different bandwidth and Traffic Shaping/QoS needs. This is the reason to have different traffic shaping configuration for the locations MX Firewalls within the templates. Thanks,
