Hi everyone, sorry for responding late as I have been off for some days. My suspicion was that printer goes to sleep, hence changing also the speed link from 1Gbps to 10Mbps. The thing is that I manage the the firewall and the switch remotely, so will need to send someone to check the Printer to be sure. No problems. I should also note that you can technically also get this information from the switch's event log which (from memory) carries 3 months of data. I guess if you send the logging to a syslog server you could technically also track the historical port transitions through that too. ... View more

Thanks both for confirming.  I was hoping to achieve this without a third part solution, but looks like that's not an option.   Rather annoyingly we had Solarwinds for monitoring our previous network environment and I could configured that to give exactly what I want, but we are in the process of phasing out Solarwinds since we've migrated to Meraki as I can't justify the additional costs now.   I'll also have a look at the options mentioned ...
