It depends....Not all coax is equal. You must perform the calculations. I would use nothing less than LMR400 and you will most likely need lightning arrestors and you must account for signal loss for each connector and make sure your coax runs/legs are exactly the same length for each element. Be very careful when doing this as this allows not only bypass of the splash page ,it will also bypass any and all security you may have applied to the Meraki MR and MX. Its better to have custom group policy that adheres to the network rules but bypasses the splash page... or better yet a dedicated policy that allows only the access you need to allow for these macs. Allow List Applies the following settings to a client: Is exempt from all firewall rules, both Layer 3 and Layer 7 (Applies to both the MX Security Appliance and the MR Access Points) Bypasses AMP Bypasses a Click-through Splash page Bypasses a Billing (paid access) Splash page and access the network on an SSID without paying or authenticating Bypasses a Sign-on Splash page without authenticating (Applies to both the MX Security Appliance and the MR Access Points) Is exempt from Per-client bandwidth limit (Applies to both the MX Security Appliance and the MR Access Points) Is exempt from Traffic shaping rules (Applies to both the MX Security Appliance and the MR Access Points) Bypasses Content filtering on MX Security Appliance

The benefit is you choose the coverage pattern based on the characteristics of the antenna. It doesn't increase the increase the range per see, rather it transforms/"molds" the available energy into something that is more beneficial for a particular use / coverage case.

There are no lines to read between. I clearly and concisely stated there are caveats and it must be asked for. MSP portal is enabled by default. Configuring the MSP Portal An admin can create multiple Dashboard accounts using the same email address. When a new account is created using the same credentials, the MSP Portal feature in Dashboard will automatically activate and be displayed so the user account with access to multiple organizations can switch between them. Wired WiFi affects available your over the air bandwidth by 50% The whole half duplex thing..... A single mesh hop will cut that to one half and then another half of that for each hop. Everyone is mistaken. You absolutely can have an SSID only admin. Its a relatively new feature and there are some caveats but it is 100% doable. you have to ask for it and have MSP set up. The MA-MNT-ANT-2 is for mounting of antennas not an AP. the best way to mount any AP is horizontally suspended from the ceiling between 9 to 15 ft height from floor and below any obstacles like lighting fixtures architectural elements, ductwork beams etc. If you have open celling's then use conduit down rods to a single or double gang box onto which you surface mount the AP mounting bracket.

In this day and age of locally administered MACs you are going to drive yourself mad trying to block anything from the air. How are you granting access to the network? What is your Meraki hardware? MX and MRs, MRs only? etc... Your answer will determine what's available "canned" from the Meraki ecosystem for controlling access.

For the record just because a client doesn't move, that doesn't mean they will not roam. Clients, and clients alone, decide to which wireless AP they will connect.

it means that in order to join the network client device must be able to talk at 12 or 24Mbps 802.11b cant operate at 12 or 24 Mbps... 11b operates at 1,2,5.5, and 11Mbps. If you don't have 802.11b devices leave it at 12

You want your bottleneck (if you have one) to be your circuit not your medium of transport, in the case of the APs- the thin air... With Wi-Fi, the name of the game is get clients on and off the medium as quickly and efficiently as possible so the next device gets a turn.
