I'll double check but I believe firewall is off.. If i hop on the MX and use the ping tool i can ping all the other gateways at other sites for the other subnets that are advertised across the vpn

Have about 6 sites setup in mesh. All show connected, but when i use the live tool to ping test pcs on other sites it does't respond. Is there something i need to do to get that to work? I can ping all the subnet gateways.

So had help setting this up before. Identical situation, just different location. Setup exactly the way the other site is...however, I can't get the MX to come online..Confirmed manually the IP was set correctly. I'm not sure if I'm missing something. So heres the info from comcast: /30 IP 50.0.0.132 Subnet 255.255.255.252 GW 50.0.0.133 WAN usable ip addresses WAN 50.0.0.134 WAN 50.0.0.135 Lan/29 Usable Range 50.237.103.145 50.237.103.146 50.237.103.147 50.237.103.148 50.237.103.149 50.237.103.150 Subnet 255.255.255.248 GW So created two vlans on the ms350 (/30-999 and /29-750) put a port in access mode for each vlan, 999 going to comcast and vlan 750 going mx. Only thing i can think of is maybe the network address is wrong? MS350 MX100

Have a bunch of MR 42 along with MX100 and MS switches. About 5 SSIDS, one of them needs to have all internet blocked with the exception of a few specific sites. Didn't see a way to do that with the Layer 7 rules. Can this be done? (each SSID is sep vlan)

Ok I've setup the vlans on the MX and gave it an IP, So for the local network, the MX will be the DFGW. I also have DHCP setup for each vlan. There is a trunk port connected from the MX to the MS with all vlans allowed. So you're saying i just need to setup the helper on the 350 so that ports assigned a particular vlan will get the respective DHCP address. This is where it gets confusing because of using the MS as a layer 3 for the edge and still needing to use the rest of the ports for access for the local network

Have a somewhat odd setup. Internet comes in and hands off to a MS350 via a /30 and /29 subnet. /29 being usable and in a DMZ vlan on that switch and the 30 in another vlan with the ISP equipment in it. I have an ASA plugged into on of the /29 ports (irrelevant, just info) and a meraki MX100 in another. Both work fine. I have one of the ports on the MS350 plugged into an ethernet port on the MX100 thats getting default DHCP for management so the MS350 can get out.Thanks to @BrechtSchamp for helping with the setup. So basically we are cutting over from a MSP to self hosted solution, so everything is being setup parallel. Problem is, DHCP server is on the old equipment. Have basically 5 vlans that need to be setup in the new environment. My question is two fold.. one. Can i setup those vlans on the MX and have it handle DHCP as well for each vlan? will it know how to do the tagging or will i need to put a windows DHCP somewhere on the network? Second, if i do that, can i turn that access port going to the MS to a trunk and be able to put other ports in access mode for a specific vlan and have the MX be able to give out the correct subnet address?

I should be able to add the vlans for the network to the MX and switch that to a trunk and then be able to change the management vlan to the one i create on the MX as well as any other vlans i should be able to have access ports on the MS correct?

ok i changed it back to vlan 1 and plugged into the MX for the time being on a switchport and the default DHCP server on the mx handed out an address. So that works like that.. but moving forward, I would assume that I would change that to a trunk port as I add more vlans on the MX?

when i set vlan to /30 i get This device is using a DHCP IP address from VLAN 1 instead of using configured VLAN 999.

An update: so configured as discussed and the MX works fine. My problem now is currently the MS350 has a port plugged into a backup internet connection via cable modem we used to get it online (port 48). It gets a private dhcp address from that modem, when we unplug it, it loses connection to dashboard. I'm guessing something else needs to be done to configure a management IP?

Also, will the ports on the firewalls that plug into that /29 vlan on the MS have to be in access mode with those vlans also residing on the MX or whatever other router
