Wireless SSID namely the Field that says "SSID" Admins

There is a drop down now next to a field that says, SSID Admins, by Default its set to "access disabled" all of my SSID's are working just fine.
so Wondering what this Drop down is for, why it defaults to disabled and why would I want to enable it
