Question on device replacement and current license

Hi all,

I've looked around and could not find a definitive answer to this. If we already have an MR33 AP and buy a 1 year MR license to utilize the device, but we then decide to buy a new MR36 AP to replace the MR33 a few months later, can we we use the remaining time of that 1 year MR license for this new AP? Would it make a difference if we were on co-term license plan or per-device?

Thanks in advance!

hi @networktest33 , you'll be fine to remove the MR33 from the Network it resides in and replace with the MR36.  The licence will continue to tick along.  If on co-term this will most certainly be the case.  If on PDL then you may have to un-associate the licence in use and then apply to the new AP.  You won't have to buy a new licence.
