Migration of floor plans

We are just about to start the swap out (so same AP name . same location just newer model) over 3000 AP's in over 300 locations and currently can not see a way to simplify the updates to the floor plans. Unless I am missing something I will have to re add every AP to every floor plan ?  I was hoping there may be a way to export the current positions and re-apply them to the new AP's ?

You can obtain the currently floor map and location with the Meraki API

Then update the new devices with the same information

So this was just announced yesterday at Cisco Live but there is a new AP Migration feature coming to the dashboard: https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/global-event/docs/2025/pdf/BRKEWN-2039.pdf

Look at page 43. Time line is Q3CY26, but depending on your timeline this could greatly assist. API Endpoints will exist as well. While it wasn't said it's possible there could be a private beta, might want to reach out to your account rep and ask.
