Meraki MR Access Points - BPDU

Hi ,

I was wondering if any MR AP in any modes ( mesh , repeater etc... ) are sending BPDUs ?

If not , what is the best pratice regarding STP towards AP ports ? BPDU guard ?

Thanks ,

The MR access points don’t participate in STP, and so don’t sent any BPDUs. You should be able to configure BPDU Guard on any switch ports facing a MR as you should never receive a BPDU on them, they’re essentially client access ports.

If they are strictly client-serving APs that should be fine.

If they are meshing and joining two LANs together - they might pass the BPDUs.  Don't know.
