Meraki APs location

Hi All,

I have a project to install Meraki APs but I don't know how can i select the location for these APS. it's only one big room have 10 APs, the reason to have 10 APs because I know Meraki MR 46-HW can't handle more than 50 users in each, that was Meraki team recommendation,  so I am wondering how to install these 10 APS in the same room.

External antennas don't get you more clients connected. But with the right antenna you can make sure that the signal is only strong in a particular area of the room and not "everywhere" (depending on the size of the room), The AP would be an MR46E instead of the "normal" MR46.

Did you go through the link for High-Density design that @ww provided?

Thank you, i couldn't to find in the links what is the recommended distance between APs during the installation, or how many meters among the APS. Any ideas?

it will depend on the wifi expert run over the property using some tools to measure the RF, try using a heat map app to measure the room, coverage per AP

Do you already have the APs? This seems to be a good fit for APs with external antennas that give you more focus.

My recommendation: Let someone specialised in Wireless do a proper WLAN-Design.

Do you mean if we used external Antenna we will get more clients connectivity? are you talking about the same model or a different model of APs?
