Meraki - 3rd Party APs Wifi guest interoperatibility.

Hi all !

We are using ubiquity unifi in most of our sides for LAN, Firewall and APs. Wifi guest in configured in all them using an external authentication URL provided by unifi (Unifi on-premise controller).

There is one site with :

  • 2 x Meraki MX84 in high availability. all layer 3 networks are defined there.
  • 2 x Unifi aggregation switches (Layer2).
  • 2 x Unifi Access switches (Layer2).
  • 7 x Unifi Access points (Layer2).

We have the following concerns :

  • Meraki management portal doesn't seems to support any other 3rd party authentication than :
    • Facebook login.
    • Google authentication.
    • 3rd party Radius Server.

Questions :

  • Is there any plan to support 3rd custom authentication using Unifi controller f.e. ?
  • What is the requirement to use Google authentication? It's configured but doen't let us to click "Login" button
  • What is the requirement to use Facebook authentication? it's tested but doesn't let us tu click "Login" button
  • There is any option to use multiple authentication sources , and let the user choose which one to use?

Thank you in advance !

Santi

Hi WW ,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Unfortunatelly as I exposed in the previous message , there is no Meraki APs associated to this account at this site, so there is no Wireless menu entry at the Meraki Dashboard to configure redirection to another URL.

Wireless access and SSID profiles are configured at 3rd party Ubiquiti Unifi APs using a central management service. Unifi.

When a connection is initiated by a guest user , guest user associate to the Wifi in Openauthentication mode.

Reach the Meraki MX firewall , and then he would need to be redirected to the unifi guest portal. But there is no way to configure that in Meraki , cause it only support "Radius , FaceBook , and Google" as authentication sources.

Regards.-

The mx can also run splash page to redirect to a different url.

Cant the unifi ap not just go to the unifi portal directly,  based on routes?
