Low Power on MR57 when using Catalyst 9200L-24P

Hi!

 

We have a couple of the MR57 APs that we're testing in our environment. When plugged into 3560-X or 3650 PoE+ switches, it operates at 30W normally, no issues. When plugging into 9200L switches (the model we primarily use for APs), it runs in low-power mode and constantly reboots. Even with no other devices plugged in and 2 PSUs installed, it won't use more than 15.4W. I've tried allocating 30W to the port specifically, but still no luck.

 

Has anyone else had this issue?

On the 9200L, you have to use a command on each port like "power inline auto max", which allows it to supply up to the switch maximum power supported.

Try enabling LLDP if you haven't already, we've had the odd issue negotiating power levels via CDP only
