Adding an Access point after a repeater

Hello all,

Problem: We have a remote building connected to the network via a wireless point-to-point. The receiver in the remote building is connected to a (Maraki) switch which supplies network access to the building. However, whenever we try to install an access point off that switch it makes itself a repeater and the entire switch loses connectivity to the main building. I've tried configuring the switch in the main building and moving it as well as freshly configuring it at the remote site. I've made sure vlans are being passed properly and the correct SSIDs are in place (there are only three, a production, a public and a backhaul that the point-to-point connection uses) I'm new to Meraki and unsure why it's not allowing me to do what I want.

Thank you and I'm happy to answer any questions.

Not a supported topology https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Wi-Fi_Basics_and_Best_Practices/Extending_the_LAN_with_a_Wireles...

You have to use a L3 switch on the remote end like this in order to make it work https://documentation.meraki.com/MR/Wi-Fi_Basics_and_Best_Practices/Extending_the_LAN_with_a_Wireles...
