AI options in the Radio settings

Any feedback on using the AI options in the Radio settings? Planning to enable the 3 options below on our campus network.

The first one disables every other 2.4GHz radio

The second one does work pretty well

The last does exactly what it says and stops no.2 changing channels in the busy time.

The first one disables every other 2.4GHz radio   ---> so it's this one that disables the 2.4Ghz?

Yes, 2/4 exactly as you see.

First toggle enable AI-RRM, which replace entire RRM engine from 15 min, snap-based RF optimization to 2 weeks of trend-based optimization decisions. decisions includes Tx power level, Channel Width and operational channel.

in addition to that, AI-RRM add new option, FRA - Flexible Radio Assignment, which will measure the 2.4GHz coverage and it's overlaps and selectively disable overlapping APs, which will reduce the 2.4GHz co-channel interferences and improve SNR.

Adding to what @MinseK says above:

Enabling AI-RRM requires you to have advanced licencing on the wireless accesspoints.

The core AI-RRM seemed to me to work well in testing, but FRA did not.  I had a site with three APs almost in a triangle and it disabled the 2.4GHz radio on one, losing coverage in the area past that AP and knocking an IoT device offline.  Disabling FRA did re-enable the radio after several hours.  I am sure it will improve, but I personally would steer well clear of FRA in production at the moment.

How do I check if I have that advanced licensing?

Second to the bottom line, MR Product Edition on the License Info page.

It will say Advanced Enterprise, if you have it.

We also have the Enterprise Edition, so it will not work?

No, you need to have Advanced for AI-RRM.  You can buy an upgrade from Enterprise, the annual cost per AP is approximately double the Enterprise licence, but there are other benefits like proactive packet captures and more included.

I enabled all three options a month ago, and the report has improved dramatically. Identify how much interference we get from the neighbor AP and the neighbors. Based on that, we did a few fine-tunings, and it works well.
