A new AP - CW9166D1?

Today I noticed a new AP model (new to me at least) which is described as a version of the CW9166 with directional antennas that focus most of the reception in front of the AP across an arc of about 70 degrees.  It also seems to be certified down to -20C operating temperature (-4F for west pondians)  You can see the differences in the spec linked to below:

Has anyone received one of these and are they for outdoor use with such a low temperature rating?

Are they turning the heating off in the Casinos?

They are not for outdoor use as this is not yet allowed by the regulations. But IMO it could be a good successor (if budget permits) for an MR46E with a patch antenna.

As mentioned by @KarstenI  they are not for outdoor use.

I am not a Cisco Meraki employee. My suggestions are based on documentation of Meraki best practices and day-to-day experience.

Please, if this post was useful, leave your kudos and mark it as solved.

Thanks @KarstenI - I didn’t know that Cisco Champions were on SoundCloud.

Has anyone actually deployed the CW9166D1 in a warehouse. We have a project and Meraki are suggesting them as an option.

The beamwidth should be too wide for the typical warehouse use-case. I still would like to hear it if someone has used them in a warehouse.

I’m just using them for a design right now!

Double check the datasheet no NEMA or IP ratings and that's not operating temps that storage temps..  But it does shave a significantly more robust operating range then say an MR53.

We are being sent a couple to play with. I will report back once we have done a bit of testing in a warehouse of ours.
