Hi,
We have few AP's in a network with Multiple SSIDs.
we have Two identical SSIDs (Corp-A & Corp-B)which shares the same configuration but we could see bandwidth difference between them.
Both SSIDs are in Same VLAN 10 and no traffic shaping or any other configurations are there.
Corp-A - 90 Mbps
Corp-B-18 Mbps
Upstream firewall has same policy since they belong to same vlans.
can you guys please suggest
Follow the path for packets coming in both the SSID.
Find the delta and you should find who is doing the policing on the other SSID.
UE <<>>> AP <<<>>> Switch <<<<>>>> FW <<<<ISP>>>>
Best practices.
1. Make sure you are using same device and same app to test.
2. Make sure your Device is on same AP while doing the test.
3. Check if Radius is playing a role here.
We raised the same query, they said Corp-A has Cisco ISE and Corp-b has Windows radius
If there's two separate corporations with two separate authentication methods, why do you have them sharing the same vlan? I don't understand that design thinking.
20 questions time:
Are these SSIDs all broadcast on the same APs? Do you get the same result when associated with every AP?
Does the speed change at all, or is it always like this regardless of client mix? What minimum bitrates are you using?
Do you have group policies applied to some devices with bandwidth restrictions?
