switch - Switch port link speed changed

Hi All,

Does anyone know why i gets these alerts from Meraki switches.

The following switch ports in the NETWORK SITE-A - switch network changed their link speeds.
MS-120-SW / 22 Access port on VLAN 30
10 Mbps to 1 Gbps 11:07 AM AEDT on Dec 20

Kind of a big deal

Always a bad cable in my experience.  Or jack, termination, etc.

I'm going to guess because it is going to 10Mbs to 1Gb/s that this is "Energy Efficient Ethernet" - EEE.

You will probably find it is related to the device going into power save mode.

@PhilipDAth absolutely, we get this from some EPoS terminals that aren't used all the time.

If the port moves from a speed of 10mb to 1gb this more sounds like a active device is connected to it and pulling traffic.
