Upgrading to MS 14.29 - Voice VLANs not working

Hi,

just updated a couple of MS 225 from MS 14.25 to MS 14.29 overnight and this morning some, not all, VoIP Phone stuck with DHCP. While looking at a affected switchport ,I saw the PC and Phone, but the phone was in the in the same VLAN as the PC. Restarting the phone doesn't help. So rolling back to MS 14.25, also no change.

Mhhh.....so I restarted the the whole switch and after it was back online, the phone was able to get in the correct VLAN.

Any idea why? Is this a firmware problem?

I can't remember any kind of this problem with the catalyst switch series.

I have not come across this problem, myself.   I think you should raise a case with Meraki Support.

Case is open, I try to find a lab switch to reproduce this.

Thank you

@MK2 I have just checked a stack of two MS210s running 14.29 and the ports seem okay:

I did find one port on one switch where the connected PC appeared to have an autoconfigured IP, but that PC is dying and nobody is using it at the moment so not sure what state it is in.  It may not be a switch issue.

Okay, I'll give it a try this week.
Is there any option to update only "1"\one switch for testing?

You can move one switch to a different Network and upgrade it there.
