Stack management differences between MS250 and MS390 switches

I am a bit of a noob here, but I have 2 switch stacks; an MS390 stack as our core, and an MS250 access stack.  In looking between them, I noticed that the core stack(MS390) had the same management IP on both switches, while the Access stack(MS250) had different management IPs for each of the 2 switches.

I have found conflicting information saying on one hand, all Meraki stack members should have the same management IP, and others saying there is a difference between the MS250s and MS390s, where the 390s have a single management IP, and the 250s each have their own.

Can anyone clear this up once and for all?  I have been getting confused.

I'm not aware and can't quite find a specific document. It's heavily implied in what I shared but it doesn't say as such directly.

The MS390 is an IOS Based Switch. IOS Based stacks share a management IP when in a stack. The MS250 is traditional Meraki OS and those switches always have an individual management IP.

See this section, big blue box for info: https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/Stacking/Switch_Stacks#Stacking_Catalyst_(MS390s_.2F_C9300-M_.2F...)

Thanks for the link to the Catalyst doc.  Is there a similar one to describe the separate mgmt IPs on a MS250 stack?
