Smartports - No option to add an 'automation'

I've just added the early access feature 'smartports' globally.

I can add a profile but when I choose 'Automations' there should be an option to add an automation but this is missing.

I followed the doco here
https://documentation.meraki.com/MS/Port_and_VLAN_Configuration/SmartPorts#Creating_a_SmartPorts_pro...

I just don't see anyway to add an automation. What as I doing wrong?

Cheers in advance.

Seems I'm running MS16.9. Automations only supported from 17 !!!

To be clear, did upgrading your MS devices to 17.x work? I'm seeing the same issue running 17.1.3 on an MS120-24 right now.

Update: The button is available for org admins. Apparently, that means using a Meraki dashboard user account. My SAML auth'd account, even with org admin permissions, did not make the button/option visible. Support couldn't confirm if this was expected behavior or not.

And the documentation is wrong now as well...while logged in with my SAML SSO admin account, I don't see anything in the "Switching-->Configure" section in my test lab that mentions Port Profiles or SmartPorts.

I only see any mention of SmartPorts Profiles in the "Organization-->Configure" section.

And the weird thing is that the Smartports that you configure in the Organization section apply to ONLY the specific network you are in at the time.  You cannot create an org-wide SmartPorts profile.  It is an odd choice to put this feature in the Organization section.

Tried to create a SmartPorts Profile while in two different test networks (while in "Organization-->Configure-->SmartPorts"), and the "Network" field is not editable.

This is definitely something I'd love to make use of for my company's networks, but until it is out of Early Access and the setup/documentation of the feature is locked in, I'm not touching it for anything in my production setup.
