Replacing a MS250-24P with a MS250-48P

Looking to do an upgrade to increase the number of ports available and switch will be reused elsewhere but what is the best method to do this? As I understand the clone option won't work because it has a different amount of ports. Would configuring it as a warm spare and then swapping out work? Or will I have to program everything from scratch?

@Firesuite we did similar with an MS210-24 to a -48 and ended up just reprogramming everything.  We used two screens and it only took about 10 minutes.

Yes there is no easy way to do this, as mentioned two screens and just go through methodically. If its a high critical environment I would suggest you get a second person to go through with you or check afterwards.
