Port RSTP role Change and slow transfer speeds

Getting event type: Port RSTP role change and having very slow transfer speeds. Anyone knows what would cause the Port RSTP role change to happen multiple times a day? And a solution?

Hi ,

What is connected to these ports ? End users ?

Usually that type of event is related to a physical disconnection / insertion of a cable ( Port status change is the actual event name  )

QNAP (NAS) , no end users

So you have multiple QNAP ? Port 33 , 40 and all the other ports from your screenshot.

Do you have logs on your QNAP ? Looks like the port might be flapping.

Port 33 is to the QNAP. Others is to other network equipment. no end user equipment.

The role normally changes if the port goes up and down.  This is a very normal message for users connecting, but not for the QNAP which should be running 24x7.

Try running a cable test on your MS.

Ran cables test and all cables test passed successfully.
