New Cisco Live Switch Info, 9350s and New Features Coming in 17.18 (~July Beta)

Wanted to share some info coming from Live:

New 9350 Switches: A Meraki Specific Data Sheet hasn't been posted yet but here is the main Cisco one: https://www.cisco.com/site/us/en/products/collateral/networking/switches/c9350-series-smart-switches...

These will be dual persona from the Get-Go. Some of the coolest new features outside of general improvements like capacity, are new stacking flexibility https://x.com/Warcop/status/1932534472014246079

There are several other bits of cool news from Cisco Live that I will try to post more info once I find something public but they are showing details on this on the show floor. There are some major features coming to the dashboard with IOS-XE 17.18 including full 9200 and some 9500(Not X )support, VRF Lite, Routed Ports, BGP, RPVST+, and more.

17.15 is supposed to go back to RC in the next few weeks once that bug is fixed and they anticipate the 17.18 beta coming out shortly thereafter.

If you have any questions I can try to answer, let me know. I've been explicitly told I can share the info as they are sharing on the floor here, they just haven't publicly posted the actual presos.

I like the 3x PSUs where you can run them in n+1 so two active and one spare.  I'm guessing they needed to add a third slot to cope with 48x 90W PoE ports!

They look like a good step forward from the 9300s that presumably will get an EoS date soon?

They won't say anything about that and the official line is keep selling them but it's a pretty good assumption eventually.

You think the 9300's are going to go end of sale soon? We were just about to start using the 9300s as our ms225 replacements.

I read through the datasheet and it is 100% a 9300+. There will of course be some overlap in sales, but if you don't already have 9300s, my personal choice would be to go for 9350s.

As Meraki have started dropping support for older switches in the software (MS220/320 recently) then I think we can expect to see a lot more of that, so it pays to go for the latest. * Once the first few beta 'testers' have had a go...

No mention and I don't recall any questions even asking either.

If I recall correctly all the stuff about 9500 and IOS XE was already announced / teased last year

So when you say (not X ) do you think that’s just for right now ? I have a stack of 9500-16X so wondering if they will ever get some

set of cloud management . The previous Cloud monitoring never worked and they would disconnect from the Meraki dashboard constantly.

The plan has always been to make every IOS-XE switch work in the dashboard.  Not sure that part of what I've seen date wise I can share.
