The network is set up as follows:
MX 84 -> MS425(1) -> MS125(10).
Voice VLAN 2 - 192.168.9.0/24 MX IP 192.168.9.1
TV VLAN 30 - 192.168.100.0/24 MX IP 192.168.100.1
The switch ports are configured to Access and assigned the proper VLAN.
I have configured an interface on the MS425 under Routing & DHCP:
Interface:
VLAN:30
Name: TV interface
Subnet: 192.168.100.0/24
IP: 192.168.1.5
DHCP settings: off
OSPF Routing: Disabled
Multicast Routing: IGMP snooping querier
I also have a static route
Name: Default Route
Subnet: 0.0.0.0/0
Next Hop IP: 192.168.100.1
Advertise via OSPF?: No
Preferred over OSPF routes? Not preferred
Under Switch Settings I have IGMP snooping ENABLED and Flood unknown multicast traffic DISABLED.
With these settings the multicast video works but we are unable to use the PAGE function on the VOIP phones.
When I disable IGMP snooping and ENABLE flood the paging works but the video stops working.
Also, paging works phones connected to the same switch.
Is there a way to assign IGMP snooping to just a VLAN and an entire switch setting?
